Abstract

Kehadiran teknologi yang beragam dalam pendidikan menjadi salah satu kondisi yang bisa menciptakan proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih efektif dan bermakna. Penggunaan berbagai platform pembelajaran online di kelas seringkali menjadi strategi bagi pendidik untuk meningkatkan interaksi dan keterlibatan siswa selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Pada faktanya, masih banyak pendidik yang tidak tahu cara memulai dan memanfaatkan platform tersebut dalam pembelajaran. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kembali best practices yang bisa digunakan oleh pendidik saat menggunakan platform mentimeter dalam pembelajaran. Metode deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan melibatkan 40 orang mahasiswa yang mengikuti kegiatan perkuliahan dengan aktivitas pembelajarannya menggunakan platform mentimeter. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa platform mentimeter bisa digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam belajar dan berinteraksi selama pembelajaran. Hal ini bisa dilihat dari banyaknya respons yang diberikan oleh responden dibandingkan dengan kegiatan konvensional yang tidak melibatkan teknologi dalam prosesnya. Selain itu, platform mentimeter bisa menjadi salah satu alat bantu dalam melakukan formative assessment sederhana bagi pendidik. Studi kedepan perlu menyajikan sebuah kegiatan eksperimental yang lebih menguji keberadaan platform mentimeter ini dalam pembelajaran

 

The presence of various technologies in education is one of the conditions that can make the learning process more effective and meaningful. The use of various online learning platforms in class is often a strategy for educators to increase students’ interaction and involvement during learning. In fact, there are still many educators who don't know how to start and utilize scuh platform in learning. This study aims to redefine best practices that can be used by educators when using the mentimeter platform in learning. The descriptive method is used in this study by involving 40 students who take part in lecture activities with their learning activities using the Mentimeter platform. The result of the study shows that the measurement platform can be used to increase student involvement in learning and interaction in learning. This can be seen from the number of responses given by the respondents compared to the conventional activities that do not involve technology in the process. In addition, the measurement platform can be a tool in conducting simple formative assessments for educators. Future studies need to present an experimental activity that further tests the existence of this mentimeter platform in learning.
